Learning to Use Internet Business Directories

Learning to Use Internet Business Directories

As an online business owner, one of your preoccupations is increasing your site traffic. If you have been in business for even a short period of time, you know that the key to getting more hits is by optimizing for the search engines. Most people use the search engines to find the sites they are looking for, so it is in your best interests to achieve as high a page ranking as you can.

Search engine optimization is vital to your business, but you should not overlook another method for increasing your site traffic: getting listed in an internet business directory. Internet business directories work in the same way that yellow pages work for traditional pages. To wit, they are listings of the various businesses operating on the web. To make the listings more tenable to use, the sites are grouped according to different categories. Sites can be listed by topics or regions, for example. Different business directories use different criteria to categorize its sites.

The reason you want to get listed in an internet business directory is simple: people use directories to find sites. While getting listed in an internet business directory is not as important as getting optimized for the search engines, it can nevertheless contribute to an increase in your site traffic. People use directories to find a wide variety of sites pertaining to topics they are interested in. Obviously, not being listed is a disadvantage.

To have your site listed in an internet business directory, you must first identify the directories that you feel will be most conducive to your business’ success. Next, you will have to submit your site for possible inclusion. If your site is legitimate, you should have no problem getting accepted. After being reviewed, your site will be indexed in the most appropriate category.

Here some excellent examples of internet business directories:

AME Info (www.ameinfo.com) – A business directory listing almost 200, 000 Middle Eastern companies.
AT&T Directories (www.att.com/directory/index.html) – This site can help you find a persons and/ or business by name or phone number.
Big Book (www.bigbook.com) – A listing of businesses within the United States. You can search for a business using its name, location, or category.
BizEurope.com Resources (www.bizeurope.com/bsr/manu/resource.htm) - A listing of European companies involved in importing and exporting.
British Companies (www.britishcompanies.co.uk) – a listing of British consumer product companies.
British Services (www.britishservices.co.uk) – a listing of British service providers.
Business.com (www.business.com) – This site also doubles as a search engine. You can find products, services, companies and jobs here.
Corporate Affiliations (www.corporateaffiliations.com) – lists companies that have merged, changed names, or gone out of business.
Europages: European Business Directory (www.europages.com) – Europages lists the addresses of half a million companies from thirty European countries. The site can be viewed in six languages.

This listing is not meant to be a comprehensive one, but it should be sufficient to get you started. Remember that internet business directories can help you increase your market reach, so you should never overlook them!

Home Business Real Estate Classes Online

http://www.AffiliateBoobyTraps.com

When you are interested in home business real estate, but you have a full time job, it can be difficult to try to find time to take classes after work. Many real estate schools are full time opportunities, which can make things even more difficult. However, you can fulfill your dreams and still earn that paycheck with home business real estate classes online. There are millions of people just like you doing it, so you can too. Just take a look at these things to look for when enrolling for classes and you will be on your way to learning all you need to know about real estate and home business.

Course Offerings

When you look into taking online home business real estate classes, you will need to be sure that you know what you are taking. For instance, you need to know if the courses you take will be able to certify you as an agent or otherwise. If you are simply taking classes to get a better understanding, then it really doesn’t matter. However, if you are wanting to get licensed to be a real estate agent, you need to know if your courses will be helpful or not.

Costs

Taking courses online can be quite expensive. So when you are looking for your home business real estate classes online, you need to be sure you know what the costs are. Look for hidden costs of text books, fees, and other things that might not be as clear as the tuition costs. Some businesses that offer classes will try to sneak other fees in, without you even knowing about them until it is way too late to back out. Just be prepared to ask the total costs, with books and all.

Length

Another thing you will want to consider is the length of the course. You should think about your life schedule and what you can take time for. If you are taking courses in the summer, be sure you think about vacation and if your vacation will conflict with your courses. In addition, if you are starting a family, think about the time that will take up. Be sure you find a program that works with your life well.

Overall, when you find a program for home business real estate online classes that seems to be what you want, at your budget level, and for the length of time you can afford to spend, be sure that you sign up. The sooner you get started toward your dream, the better off you will be. Make sure you consider everything however before beginning. After all, there may be a better deal around the corner. You must do your research to decide if that is the case or not.

Let's get started: Home business plan

Let's get started: Home business plan
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.AffiliateBoobyTraps.com

You've made the decision to start your own business; its time to begin developing a successful home business plan.

The first step, of course, is to decide just what type of business you'd like to operate. Start by pinpointing your hobbies, personal interests and subjects you've always seemed to have a naturally knack for. Perhaps you've always had a love of animals. Considering opening a full-service kennel might be the type of home business plan you need to look into. Maybe you are a stay-at-home mom who absolutely adores children. Creating a home daycare of preschool might be an option. Is mathematics your game? Accountants are needed for all types of financial institutions, including businesses, banks and financing companies. Individuals are also potential customers.

Yet another aspect to consider as part of your home business plan is whether you would like to act as the sole service provider or whether you would prefer to be in the background, as in just managing your home business. Consider whether your business plan is profitable enough to allow for employee compensation, and just how many employees you might be able to have on payroll. If you project that you would be in need of a few hands to run your business, but don't see an enough profit allowance for paying employees, an option would be to contact local universities and junior colleges to offer a non-paid internship. In turn, the education institution would provide credit to the student for a semester of work.

As long as we're talking about income, consider the fact that a home business plan does not provide health insurance coverage. Can you live without it? Will your company provide enough funds to purchase private insurance? Does your spouse have insurance through his or her job that could cover the family?

Those who are brainstorming a business plan may be deterred by start-up costs. Begin with calculating the exact cost of opening your business. Add in operating costs for the first month as you may struggle financially during your first weeks of work, and there will be extra bills that come along with conducting business matters. Consider small business loans from banks, personal loans from family members or contacting investors and sponsors for help.

As you are just beginning your home business plan, having the best of the best is not necessary. Try to cut corners as much as possible.

For instance, if you cannot afford computer set-up and Internet service just yet, check the availability of your library's computer lab to research or e-mail business contacts. If you are need of furniture for your home business, such as desks and chairs, check out second-hand stores or place an ad in the newspaper asking for donations.

The key to succeeding in your home business plan is to firmly believe that your dream is possible. If you run into a roadblock, simply take another avenue.

Hey, did you know that...

Once the website is designed and ready to be uploaded, one should choose a proper business hosting and internet services provider. Some hosting companies provide free internet with the package. Be a public relations specialist: Home based internet marketing business

Be a public relations specialist: Home based internet marketing business
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.AffiliateBoobyTraps.com

There are millions of people out there who have started there own home business through use of their computers. While their ideas are fresh and unique, and their business plan has great promise, owners may have trouble getting the word out about their services. Consider starting a home based Internet marketing business to act as their “word of mouth”.

If your client’s business is a common one in which many entrepreneurs are exploring, your task is to make this business stand out from all the rest. For instance, if a consumer is looking for a web designer, they may punch in “web designer” on a search engine. Millions of individuals and companies will pop up. They will inevitably browse the first sight them come to on the list. You, as a home based Internet marketing business, can’t let this happen.

Develop a Web site solely dedicated to the services your client provides. If you are not familiar with site set-up, you may be forced to include fees in your contract that allow for you to hire a site creator. Include in this site pictures of the client, samples of his or her work, complimentary comments from former and present client’s clients, client’s educational and work background, service prices and special offers such as free consultations.

Include tons of articles that feature certain keywords in which a Google hunter would type in. For a web designing service, they could punch in web designer, web sites, graphic professional, inexpensive web site creators. Hiring a web content provider who will send you copy written by highly-regarded writers containing these keywords would be a good alternative if writing time or skill is lacking within your home based internet marketing business. Hiring this kind of help will increase traffic to the Web site in which you have organized to promote your client’s products or services.

While it would be easy as a home based Internet marketing business to simply sit back and let potential customers find your client’s services on their own through the Web site, if you want to be the best, it requires a little more effort.

Another duty of a home based Internet marketing business is to actually reach out to potential buyers of customer’s products or services. This takes much effort and time, but the payoffs could be bountiful. If you send out 100 information e-mails to business owners who could benefit from your client’s services, chances are at least 10 replies will be received. The odds aren’t very good, but bringing in 10 new customers a day is a pretty successful endeavor. In these e-mails, include an offer for a free newsletter subscription which will update the recipient on present and new services added, coupons for discount rates, links to the client’s Web site and an e-mail address to contact for more information.

Where to find the answer: Free home based business opportunity

Where to find the answer: Free home based business opportunity
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.AffiliateBoobyTraps.com

The dream of working at home fills the minds of stay-at-home moms, overwhelmed and exhausted full-time employees and part-timers who find working odd hours for little pay is a time waster. With all of the offers out there in the online community, it is difficult to distinguish a legitimate free home based business opportunity from a scam.

There are two roadblocks that people who decide to start a home business usually run into: start-up costs or finding a reputable company who is not scamming the public or using the public to scam other people.

Your best bet for not getting taken advantage of is to literally find real businesses that need your services by becoming an off-site freelancer. Everyone has a skill that they could turn into a profitable career. From writing to marketing to web design to accounting, more and more companies are in demand for at-home employees.

Working from home for a business by way of computer is called telecommuting. The benefits are that you may be able to set your own work hours, there are no traveling costs or traffic hassles involved, and you can arrive at work in your pajamas. This is a possibility for those who desire freelance or contract work as a web developer, writer or author, career consultant or financial advisor. The possibilities are endless.

If you hold a college degree or have continuously excelled in a certain field, perhaps you would be open to teach courses for an online university or instructional school or offer tutoring over the Internet. Many times, education institutions are also looking for scholars who can create course itineraries or write instructional books for students.

Acting as a customer service representative for a company is also a choice as a free home based business opportunity. Clients who need these services are typically looking for someone to answer customer questions and complaints through a toll-free number through your personal or provided phone and answer customer e-mail inquiries.

Other free home based business opportunities involve a little bit of travel for work, but still offer the flexibility that everyone desires. For instance, if sewing has always been your hobby, you could turn it into a home business by designing and creating clothes for either a company or as your own business. The travel involved would be running to get supplies or setting up displays at flea markets or festivals.

Sales positions are another option which requires footwork and generating your products through the public. Many cosmetic companies, candle makers, and newspapers are looking for representatives to advertise their products and add to subscriber or customer lists.

In deciding which field you will choose as a free home based business opportunity, it is important to decide whether you feel comfortable around people, possibly pushing sales or answering angry calls; or if you would rather be isolated if you are not really a people-person.

The computer guru opportunist: Earn money on the Internet

The computer guru opportunist: Earn money on the Internet
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.AffiliateBoobyTraps.com

In this age of technology, it’s not as mandatory to actually work a 9-5 job (or even leave the house, for that matter) to earn income. There are many ways that people with basic computer skills can earn money on the Internet. Does it sound too good to be true? It’s really not.

One way to earn money on the Internet is by developing your own company, whether it be offering a service or selling your own products. Creating a Web site is a must for this endeavor. Marketing and promoting your product or service is yet another task.

Find your niche. If you like to design and create children’s clothing, consider opening an online kids clothing store. You would first need to apply pictures of your products onto your Web site, detailing product information and sales prices. Subscribe to a payment tool, such as PayPal, as a way for customers to purchase your items online. Adding a shopping cart feature is another consumer-friendly tool.

If going into business for yourself is not something you are not willing to risk, there are many work-at-home opportunities listed on the Internet, from data entry jobs to sales. The most important aspect of choosing such a company to work for is determining their status. Is this a scam? Will they trick me into scamming other innocent people? The best way is to check the company’s reputation is through the Better Business Bureau.

Freelancing is yet another option to earn money on the Internet. Perhaps you have a gift for writing or graphic design. Capitalize on this skill by checking freelance sites for work opportunities. This is not as risky as working for yourself in the sense that you are actually getting paid by companies on your terms. However, there may come a point and time when the need for this type of work slows down, or even comes to a complete halt. That is something to consider when planning freelance as a way to earn money on the Internet.

Perhaps a very simple way to earn money on the Internet is by acting as an online advertisement. This involves developing a Web site dedicated to a certain subject, such as shoes, and writing content and adding pictures that will attract visitors to your site. The next step to earning money on the Internet through advertising is to join an affiliate program. These are companies who will allow you to post links to their sites that feature their sales products which relates to your Web site. When the link on your Web site is clicked, and a purchase is made, you will then receive commission from the purchase. The key to success with this endeavor is to develop an attractive and informative Web site on your subject and continue to update and add new content as an incentive for visitors to return.

Never be late to work again: Earn money from home

Never be late to work again: Earn money from home
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

For parents, having the burden of child care expenses can be draining. Maybe it’s time to explore ways to earn money from home.

One way to earn money from home is to start your own at-home business. If you are a people-person, developing a business in which people come into your home (such as a clothing shop or daycare) or being a salesperson (such as candles or cosmetics) might be a great option for you.

If you have space in your home (such as a garage or den) which could be converted into a business area, having your own shop would be a fun way to earn money from home. Specialize in a hobby or interest you enjoy such as hunting or antiques, or make your own products to feature as sales items like jewelry or candles.

To earn money from home by being a shop owner would, of course, require some investment like restructuring, extra utility costs, decorating, advertising, product costs and, possibly, employee payrolls.

Some people, however, prefer to work alone. Dealing with co-workers is one of the top 10 reasons professionals quit their jobs. In this case, providing a service in which you excel would be a good way to earn money from home. Decide on a business endeavor in which you could spend at least 90 percent of the time working by yourself, such as an at-home accounting business or book proofreader. All jobs, though, include some person-to-person contact such as phone calls or asking businesses to display advertising for your company.

Perhaps you are not one who likes dealing with people, but still have always dreamed of running your own company. Consider buying an empty building or existing company and be a business owner who collects all the profits. Sure, you’d have to make an appearance from time to time to check on business matters. But, for the most part, having your own business could consist of paying employees and management to do the job for you. It is a reasonable way to earn money from home while never having to lift a finger.

Telecommuting to work is also an option to earn money from home. Talk to your boss or supervisor about possibly doing your duties from home and either e-mailing or faxing it in. If this isn’t possible, there are many, many companies out there who need people to work from home doing secretarial, bookkeeping or writing work. Advance in your career and do the job you’ve always enjoyed. The only difference would be that you now have a virtual office and no co-workers or heavy-breathing bosses surrounding you.

Another option to earn money from home, that is similar to telecommuting, is to freelance. Turn your skill or hobby into a profitable career by doing contract work for businesses. Set your own schedule, haggle your own fees, and still have time for your family.

Web site tracking software

Web site tracking software

http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

There are ways to track who will be visiting your site. The more traffic you generate the more money you will make. You want to make sure that you have all you need to see if your getting the traffic you want. There are several ways to track the traffic on your site and each has its own pros and cons. It will fully depend on what you need at the time and how much you are willing to invest.

Some devices simply tell you how many people visit you and some have actual reports with fine details. You would want to use a more sophisticated tracking system if you want to know which search engines are bringing in the most traffic or where people are coming from. The simpler methods are used just to know how many people total have visited your site since it got up and running. These ones won’t offer any other type of information such as how many per day or where they came from.

1. Counters: These are usually used by newbies. You won’t see them on more professional sites. They will tell you and the visitor exactly how many people have visited your site.

2. Trackers: Tracking software will give you a detailed path your visitors take when they visit your site. This tells you way more than just a simple tracker and isn’t seen by the visitor. For the free use you might be required to put a button or graphic up. Many site owners will prefer to put in their own tracking scripts onto their servers.

3. Use Your ISP Statistical Package: Your ISP provider keeps a log of every hit to your site. This will let you know where your traffic is coming from and what pages they are looking at. Make sure your hosting company offers access to your raw log files.

4. Web Traffic Analysis Software: this is a program that will take your raw log files and generate a report on your traffic. The quality will completely depend on what program you are using. There are some free ones that come with some hosting packages or there are the paid software packages that would generate high quality reports.

Your web traffic statistics are an extremely valuable tool for information about your web site. You will be able to make decisions on improving your site through the information they give you. They will let you know what web pages are the most popular and also the ones that are very rarely used.

A tracker will tell you who is visiting your site. You will learn which web browsers to optimize your pages for and which search engines are most useful. They can even tell when you get errors or have bad links on your page. Analyzing your web traffic can help you determine what type of marketing strategies work for you and your site the best. You will then be able to change according the most successful methods and boost your traffic and ultimately your sales.

Promote Your Internet Business With Articles

Promote Your Internet Business With Articles
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

Clearly one of the best methods promoting your web site or small net business is to use articles. This very simple way to give informative information and best of all it is free to use. You do not need to be a pro or a professional writer, to be able to place articles on your web site. Having articles that are directly related to the theme of the site, will in turn give you an edge on the competition. By writing an article yourself and submitting it to the directory that you are using to get your articles, you then are feeding the community with great content for everyone to share.

There are literally hundreds of these directories of articles on the Internet, being a member of multiple web societies will yield more and more reference materials that you can benefit from. When making an article that you intend on placing on one of the many directories, it is very important to keep the required formatting in mind, there are some directories that wish for you to use no formatting, this is not a bad thing as in the end it will save you time not having to set the formatting up. Just make sure it is all done in a text document, and all will be fine.

Sometimes the directory will require a keyword to go along with the article, and may or may not ask for a brief description of the article in a separate box. Along with all this information, it is a great idea for you to have a resource box at the bottom of the article. This is an excellent way for you to give information about you, and the web site or sites you may have. This is an excellent method of self-promotion. The key here is to generate as much traffic to your web site as you can, by efficiently using web content and articles that appeal to people. This is very effective when you find great articles that pertain to your site in a whole.

There is a very good chance that if someone reads an entire article that you have written, that they will be willing to read more of your work. This can easily draw them to your site out of curiosity, and could generate a new sale. This new sale could then be referred to someone else looking for the same product or service, and again draw a new customer. Word of mouth on the Internet is a very powerful tool indeed. So in closing, it is clear that these services known as article directories do have a solid purpose in the way of generating more traffic to your intended target. That target is your web site.

Why many home businesses fail

Why many home businesses fail
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

When trying to start a home business it is easy to fail. Many people don’t look into fields that are of interest to them. You should enjoy what you are about to embark because you will be spending a lot of time in this field. You cannot just hit a hot spot and think it will sell. Just because you love something doesn’t mean it will sell either. Make sure that what you pick has a market. Many people pick over-saturated markets in fields that they have no clue about. If you have no idea what you are writing or having some one else write about then you cannot expect to dram up any real business. People assume that making a web site and sticking up a few banners will be the extent of but they are wrong. Like any other job you have to dedicate time and money to it.

Most people want to see money and not spend it. How can you expect others to invest in you and your business if you won’t? You will have to invest in yourself to see results. You don’t have to spend thousands but you will you will have to spend some money to get seen and heard. The tools you will need to use cannot be cut out either. People think that it is all about knowing how to build a site but that is not what sells your product. Books can be a great tool and a very inexpensive way of learning how to run your own business. If you want to succeed with little investment try a few of these tips.

* Sell a product you know about. You will not be able to answer people’s questions if you have very limited knowledge about what you are trying to sell. This will also get you a bad name. The more familiar with what you are selling and its potential uses the better off you are. You are the one trying to get people to buy, know your stuff.
* Find a market that is hot but not over spent. You don’t want to mark down your product or service so much that you don’t make a profit. If you find the right balance then you can generate good money.
* Use high content article to inform your customers and keep them coming back. The number one business killer is a site with all graphic that takes hours to load and has no real substance. You want simple and highly informative. You will need to be willing to write of pay someone to write for you.

There are also tons of little tricks to selling that make life good. You really just have to be willing to work hard at making your own success happen. If you want something you will have to go grab it. There is no real way to make money with out putting in some kind of effort.

Buying wholesale

Buying wholesale
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

So you have decided that you want to get into the whole wholesale marketing scheme, this is great as it is one of the fastest growing industries on the net, actually it is one of the fastest growing industries period. So, what have you decided to sell? Did you figure that part out, or are you still up in the air with this one? There are some very important things to consider when going with wholesale Internet marketing, capital is a big issue, yet many people who are savvy can get around this one. Sales pitch, well many people can research what seems to be working for others in this field. The biggest issue seems to be the storage and product capacity problem.

Have you ever considered selling stuff that people collect? What about sports cards? This is a very big market, and you could easily find space in even a modest sized home for the product to be shipped in mass quantity. This is a market that is taking off; there are people in every walk of life that collects sports cards. From hockey cards or baseball cards the product is still the same, small and easy to store until it is sold and shipped. You see the problem with choosing a large-scale item such as clothing, or stereo equipment, means that you will need adequate space to store it until you ship it. If you are just starting out, renting a storage space for the product makes for a sure fire crash in your profits. Not to mention the insurance you will want to take out to keep you and the wholesaler safe, in the event of theft.

This is why smaller items that are still popular may be the best bet for positive results and a chance to keep all of your profits. The option is there for the wholesaler to keep the product at there storage facility until the sale is final, and it is even possible for them to ship the item to the customer saving you the trouble. The major problem with this is, everything that the wholesaler has to do such as store and ship the items eats away at your profits. If they store it, they will charge you for the use of space. If they will ship it, they will ship it the way they want regardless if that ends up costing you more either way it matters not to them. This is because it will come out of your share in the end. This then takes you from a legitimate business partner to a simple run of the mill salesperson without most of the perks. Do you see a nasty change in your plans now?

Weekend internet entrepreneur

Weekend internet entrepreneur
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

So you have your ho hum run of the mill everyday job, you deal with bosses, co-workers, and the general daily regime that can easily get to the point of near insanity. This is where the part time or weekend Internet entrepreneur comes into play. This is where you will become your own boss, and the only rules that apply entail making as much money and getting as much exposure as possible.

The people that run headfirst into an online marketing business, with wild expectations are surely headed for a very rude awakening. It is an unrealistic and often unfounded mindset that many people fall into. The idea of not having to do any work on the business once the web site is set up is purely preposterous. There is however, a difference between being naive, and being a full-blown idiot. Any one that believes the money will just roll in while they do nothing to improve their site or any work at all for that matter, is naïve. The person that just doesn’t want to work at all, on this endeavor or otherwise, and expects money to just fall into their laps, is indeed the full-blown idiot.

Would it not be nice to have a plethora of customers that are completely obsessed with what it is you have to offer? Clearly the way to go is to create and control markets rather than chase after them and hope to sell what it is you need to get rid of. There is no easier medium to peddle your goods to the public than the Internet, and it’s web based marketing services. When someone looks on their browser to find a solution, or a place to get what it is they need it is your site you want them to go too. The good marketers will want to have the solutions, and the product for every need anyone could ever have. Now this is clearly not realistic, however, the idea of it does have its merits. What I am getting at this is simple, what people want is what you should want to sell.

Sometimes the dice do not roll your way, this is a proven fact all through life's endeavors, and the ones that want to make it and be successful do not just roll over and give up. Not everything goes as planned in business, yet there are ways to make it. Many do after facing major problems; you just have to train yourself to believe you will too. The object of this training is for you to become more than just a dreamer, rather a producer of what it is you see and want for yourself. This is not unrealistic, nor is it unreasonable to ask. You know you have, as much right as the next bloke to succeed, the difference is all boiling down to wanting it, and merely dreaming of it. This is truly a skill that most have to learn, some have a gift for it but the ones that need schooling can relax knowing it is not an impossible task. What exactly you may ask entails staying power? Well it is a healthy mixture of dedication, consistency, persistence, and perseverance.

E-commerce solutions for home business

E-commerce solutions for home business

http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

When you have a small home-based business, and are basically just starting there are many ways to make a large leap ahead. One of these great methods is to sell online merchandise. An online store can be set up relatively easily and e-commerce has been proven to be quite successful. There are many sites online these days that make e-commerce an excellent decision for your business.

Microsoft now offers a great service known as Bcentral, and is offering great deals on server and hosting packages that run on a monthly scale, or basis. This is a great tool for the individual that is looking to delve into the e-commerce field. If you have an idea for a catalog, and need tools to get it up and running such as templates, and logo creators this could be your solution youve been waiting for. Not only will you receive the templates and the graphic creators, but also you will receive the quaint shopping cart in the top right hand side of the page. Having the opportunity to track and control orders and sales is made very easy as you will receive automated conformation through e-mail. Being able to become a member in the PayPal system is also a good idea, as you can never have enough payment options attached to your site. This just increases your chances of sales. You will also be given the opportunity to keep track of customer traffic to your site as well. This makes for a very handy service indeed.

Another great service is provided by eBay, the stores offer a very popular alternative and have a sliding fee scale to fit most businesses needs and budget. The basis service is for the smaller of the businesses that have a smaller volume of traffic. This does not mean that you will not have access to some great tools for your site. You will not be able to keep track of the flow of traffic or sales with this service and there is a very limited directory, yet it is still a good service for someone who is just starting out. The next level of the ebay service will provide more for the business that may be needed as time goes on. It places your priorities in relation to the product you are trying to sell; knowing exactly what the consumer is looking for makes it easy for them to adjust your targeted areas. You will get some traffic reports and sales figures, but not many. The third and final level of the ebay store program is exactly where you want your business to be placed. This is the premier spot or the center stage. This is the place where the bulk of the strongest traffic will be located. This will give you a much stronger shot at making those sales.

Top affiliate programs

Top affiliate programs
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

When it comes to Internet based business, one the best methods of generating traffic and sales is to go with an affiliate program. This is a very strong way to keep up on the market place and carve your spot into the field. It is no secret that the best way to start affiliate marketing is to go with a topic that you are very familiar with. This does not imply that you are going to immediately strike it rich, it does however; give you the means to building a great site. Knowing what you are selling or promoting is the easiest way to ensure people look to you for information.

This in turn allows for you to add little pieces of information that you may find pertinent to the product, you can add personal flare and even have unbiased opinions thrown in for good measure. When setting up an affiliate site, the first thing to avoid is the temptation of banners. People steer clear away from banners, and quite frankly they make a site look truly unprofessional. If you are going to go with a merchant on your site, it is extremely important to have one that is directly related to what you are promoting. Have more than one can surely not harm either. Just make sure you realize that this is not the beginning of a fortune either. Affiliate programs are not a guarantee to riches; they are a guarantee that your site will be seen more often. This is what you are truly striving for; its all about the traffic.

More and more sites these days are focused around content, this is the information and education aspect of a promoting a product or service. This has become a successful endeavor, and is far easier to establish than a product based affiliate program or general website. When ever you are building one of these sites, it must be kept in mind that the entire goal is to ensure that people are actually clicking on the merchants link in order to generate sales that you will receive commission or percentage from. If you cannot generate traffic to your affiliates site the entire premise has now been a waste of time and money making it moot. Another site that can be successful is the data driven web sites, or data product info sites. These sites have no information on them that one could muse through it is the basic goods. Cost, description, images the basic showroom. What you want in turn from one of these sites is to force feed the affiliate site or the merchants goods to the viewer, making them go immediately to the affiliate site for purchases. This generates income in your pocket by advertising the merchants goods, and promoting them.

These are my top affiliate programs:

Card sending home business

Card sending home business
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

So you have decided that you want to try your luck working from home, you are tired of working for the big corporations and feel you can benefit greatly from being your own boss. This is not a new theory as people all across the globe have the same vision and dreams that come with it. The truth is there is not many home based businesses that pay off in the long run. Another problem with this is that it really doesnt pay off short term either. So why do people keep going back to this type of home business endeavors? The answer is simple they are not experienced with the whole home based business scheme to begin with.

There are not many people who can pick out a fraudulent business, and even less people can pass on the whole premise of getting rich quick. This is where the scam artist comes into play; they have a way of finding the weak and exploiting their will for a change. Case in point, the credit card sending home based business. When someone delves into the home-based credit card business, they generally have no idea what they are getting themselves into. They hear of great opportunities and fast income. This is wonderful in theory, yet the idea is not very sound. Why would someone set out to employ people that they do not know or never have run a background check on to sell credit cards.

The use of fraudulent credit cards seems to be a problem that is not going to slow down, when you are in this business, what you are doing is unwittingly cheating someone who is looking for a service. This is not a very decent way of making a living, and furthermore it is illegal. This will not generate the income that you think you will receive. When you are running this business from home you will receive loads of personal information from the potential clientele, this information is recorded and many times can easily be misused. The person is sending their information have no idea what actually can happen with the information provided for the service. Many times the card is apparently approved only to have this card number recorded, and then distributed throughout the World Wide Web for the best price.

There are a great number of home based businesses out there, finding the right one for you may or may not take some time. There is however the intention of others to make money very quickly and in a not so legal fashion. These scams are not new, and they pull many people into the fold on a daily basis. This is due to the dream of having your own hours and being in control of your own destiny. For every 10 people in America, 8 of those people are continuously trying to follow that dream of having self-made wealth. This should not be done at someone else's expense.

Web Site Promotion For Your Brand New Website

Web Site Promotion For Your Brand New Website
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

What do you do when you have a brand new shiny web site, and no way of promoting it? Well for starters you could hold an online press conference. This is actually a very simple process. You will either hire a professional to write out a web press release and have it reviewed by an editor, or you can be bold and take you chances by writing it yourself.

There are other ways of promoting your new web site however; you could always go the route of affiliation. This is a good method of not only promoting your new site, but an easy fashion of making some quick money as well. How this works is you sign up for an affiliation to a site, generally you will want to find a site that has some relevance to the site you are trying to promote. When ever someone goes to the site you are affiliated with, and they link on to your site by pay per click method it takes them to your site and right into the thick of your content. This is the unfortunate part, whenever someone clicks onto your site from your affiliate; you end up paying the affiliate for the transfer of sites. Although this could easily be a very small fee to the affiliate, the point to remember is if they come and you pay the affiliate, there is no guarantee that they will buy from you.

This could easily become a very costly endeavor if you are getting many tire kickers, and no buyers. This is where you will be paying for people to view but not pay. As you know this is no way to conduct business. Sometime people go to the extent of hiring an outside service. This service states that they can increase traffic to your site, or generate hits if you will. The problem with this theory however, is that you cannot guarantee anything, you can never be sure that you will ever generate traffic, let alone sales. This is in no way to impede the program that they offer, it is just that absolutely no organization or single person alike can truly guarantee that they can generate traffic for you to the point that you will see successful results on your site.

Which leads back to the first mentioned thought, is it not worth the time, money, and effort, to ensure that you are getting the best exposure for your site? Dont waste your money, time, and sanity wondering whether or not you will receive this exposure to your site. Go get it yourself.

Writing press releases

Writing press releases
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

So you have a new and bright web site that you will be putting in circulation very soon, you will need advertising for this site to make a big splash on the market. How does one go about writing a big press release for an impending site introduction? You are not alone if you are unsure on this, but there are a few pointers to get you started, and are successful at it at the same time.

Keeping in mind that you are going to need the publics attention, on this media release it is important to remember the fact that the news sells. What you need is very persuasive communication to get your point across. If an editor finds material that makes false promise of nonsense claims that are just not reasonably accepted, they will trash the media release. Some of the most common are one of a kind, changing the face of the planet, or everyone wins. The entire premise is to act and think like a reporter to get the word out in that media format. If the release is not in a journalistic format, it will not be taken seriously.

A good measure would be to make the title around ten words, keep it short to grab attention. Brief summary or the information should be in the headline, and should be dynamic and bold. You are trying to reach mass public; it should be as broad as a roadside sign or billboard. The best way to get a good review is to have the editor notice your release above all others, this can be done in just a few words. Just like all good journalists know the most potent and important part of the release is always the opening paragraph. This can be referred to as the summary lead. It is always the most important facet of any release that you incorporate the common 5 ws of journalism, not excluding the single and ever important h. who, what, when, where, and the single how are the mainstay in quality information that everyone truly looks for when reading a release. It is imperative on this note to include them.

This is the beef of the information with the introduction and the closing statements surrounding this bulk. It is the introduction that leads the readers down the path of craving more on the subject it must be powerful. This opening paragraph is what is known as the hook. This hook not only has to grab the audiences attention but the press and the editor as well. Not always an easy task. The hook in every sense of the word is strictly fact and not a method of persuasion to the masses.

Work from Home Business on a Limited Budget

Work from Home Business on a Limited Budget
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

In starting a home-based business on a limited budget, you will find that there are things you will need for advertising and marketing and one of those items is stationary. How do you solve the challenge of placing an address on the stationary without exposing where your home is? Normally when people see a post office box, they do not think of very reputable companies. Is it safe to place your home address on the stationary?

Most individuals who have started a home-based business do not have much concern over placing their home address on the stationary. There really is nothing to worry about and most people will be a bit jealous that you are able to do this rather than thinking they want to come over to your home and harass you. Look at what your motivation is in wanting to withhold your address. Is it to discourage unwanted visitors at your doorstep? If this is the case, be selective as to where you place your home address. Use a post office box for advertising and materials that you use for marketing. Use your home address with the post office box on other items. Decide what you are trying to accomplish with advertising your address. If you receive shipments at home then you need to have a physical address listed.

The purpose of using stationery is to communicate that you have a solid business and are here for the long term. This is reflected in the type of paper you use to the color you choose for your stationery. Always invest in this aspect of your business. Your stationery reflects you remember that as you are deciding on low-quality paper or a higher quality paper. Your investment in how you look to others will come back to you. Make sure you have matching envelopes. You do not want this great looking stationery in envelopes that you bought at your corner market. Your typeface should not be too small or too large. If your typeface is too small, it signals that you are not quite sure about yourself and your business. If your typeface is too large, it may come off being to overpowering and people will turn away.

Think of your stationery the same way you would if you were preparing for a job interview. When you are preparing to interview you pick out a color that reflects power and courage but not overstated. You make sure your appearance shows that you are confident and capable of performing the job description. This same principle applies to the stationery you use for your business. Often times this is the first thing a client or customer will see about your business. What do you want it to say about your products?

Home Business Network Marketing

Home Business Network Marketing
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

Network marketing is not always easy for everyone. There are individuals who are very natural at talking with others and find it quite easy to be in a room full of strangers and talk about what they have to offer. Then there are those who are terrified of the very idea of network marketing and needing to talk to anyone about anything. Network marketing does not have to be a horrible experience for you and you do not have to have a panic attack at the thought of attending one. When you prepare for network marketing and do not go in with your eyes closed, you will find that it will make an enormous difference in the productivity of your business. Network marketing can be beneficial in building a plethora of resources and contacts that you can have at your fingertips to propel your business forward.

If you do not have a briefcase, it would be wise to purchase one. In your briefcase, you can keep your business cards, brochures, and informative documents about your business and other items that you can use to talk to others about what you have to offer. Keep your briefcase with you at all times, especially when you go to events to network.

Decide in advance how many people you want to talk to and do just that. If it is your first time, you may only want to talk to three people. Although once you are there, you will probably find yourself relaxing and notice that you came home with more than three contacts. Do not forget the business cards of the people you meet. In the excitement, you may forget their names. It is a good idea to jot down some relevant information on the back of the card to help you remember why or why not you like that particular contact.

One way to get to know those who come to the event is to volunteer to greet people as they come in. You are the first person they meet and then you can go up to them during the meeting with some ground under your feet and not feel so terrified.

Being a good listener is a key to being a good at networking. If you spend all your time talking about yourself, and how good you are and very little time, listening to them you will be wasting your time. Remember, people like to talk about themselves and if you let them, they will and they will leave the event thinking how much they enjoyed talking to you and will remember you. This is also an excellent way to glean information about them and the business they have to offer.

Home Business System

Home Business System

http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

Are you good with computers and considering a home business where you can utilize your computer knowledge? You may be interested in starting a computer tech business from home offering support to the millions of Americans who own computers but often times become very frustrated with them.

If you are planning this type of business with your spouse and have children carefully, consider this venture before stepping into it. You will need to be able to manage your time and have an excellent ability to communicate to each other. You do not want your partnership to turn into a power struggle or both your marriage and business can become at risk of falling apart. Starting a home business takes investment both financially and emotionally so weigh your options carefully before jumping into the arena of home-based businesses.

It will be important to divide the responsibilities within the business. Look at the strengths that both of you have and divide them up that way. If both you and your spouse have great skills, when it comes to working with clients, one of you may prefer to do a different part of the business. Your business will succeed when you work together utilizing each others strengths as opposed to getting into a power struggle over who should work in which area of the business. Just as in a corporate environment, you have those who work in the forefront working with the customers and managing the day-to-day operations and another who work behind the scene generating the paperwork, payroll, and other office duties. Any large financial decisions should always be made together.

You do not want to be screaming at each other when differences arise so decide on a plan as to how you are going to handle disputes that arise and they do arise in all businesses. Again look at how businesses are run, have weekly meetings or even morning daily meetings to look at what you are going to accomplish that day. If you start your business but never, take time to communicate with each other as to what is happening your business will fail. Having weekly or daily meetings will lessen the chance of something happening that is unexpected and you will be more able to handle the little things that crop up.

If you have, children in the home consider hiring someone to come in and take care of the kids while you are working. It does not have to be all day but maybe for a few select hours when you know that you and your spouse need to concentrate without interruptions. Although one of the reasons you probably wanted to start a home business is so that you can be home with your children you will not be very effective if they are demanding your attention all day. Your children will have to adjust to the business being in your home the same way you and your spouse are adjusting.

Business at Home Jobs

Business at Home Jobs

http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

Being self-employed often sounds exciting. The thought of not having to work for anyone else and being able to enjoy your freedom is appealing. Those who decide to take this route soon find out that this is often not the case and realize that they will actually be working long, hard hours for a few years as they try to get their business on its feet. The difference in being self-employed is that everything rests on your shoulders. When you were working for someone else, you had to deal with things you probably did not want to but the entire weight of the financial success of the company was not your concern now it is. In this article, we will look at some types of businesses that you can have at home.

If you are a pet lover then consider a pet-based business from home. You may be one of those individuals that animals of all kinds are drawn to you and if so this type of business is perfectly suited to you. A pet-business can involve everything from pet sitting, to walking and training pets, and providing supplies and toys to the pet owners. More than 60 million American homes have pets and that is a huge market for a home based business on any level. Most pet owners will spoil the beloved animals with anything that they find is cute, fun, and practical.

Home improvement is an excellent business opportunity, as homeowners will pay to have items removed from their residence as well as fixing up much needed repairs. This is an excellent source of income for the person who is good at fixing things and loves to clean and clear items from one place to another. During the warmer seasons, this is a great way to make extra income. Obviously you cannot do this type of business with a car you will need a pick-up of some type of vehicle that is capable of carrying away a variety of items.

If you are good at typing and have knowledge of how to work a computer, you may want to consider medical transcription. Transcription can be done at home and if you do not have medical knowledge you can brush up on medical terminology or even through taking a quick course at your community college or other institute. This is a demand that will not slow down anytime soon. Doctors offices, dentists, and even veterinarians all need someone to transcribe their records. If you are good at typing and familiar with Word documents and formatting this is a good choice for you.

Home-based jobs are becoming very popular for many families who are looking to increase their income but not necessarily work outside of the home.

Looking for a work from home business opportunity

Looking for a work from home business opportunity
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

Everywhere you look today there is some kind of work at home business opportunity. It can be hard to figure out the good from the bad. In any type of business opportunity you must always do your homework about the company. You want to see their disclosure documents and any other relevant data such as growth rate, size, and the years in business, etc. you always want to be cautious and do some good investigation. The rules for what type of disclosure they have to provide depend on the type of the business. A franchise is required to offer more than just a regular business. It all can get confusing. First you will need to decide what type of business opportunity is for you. Do you want to start a business from scratch or do you prefer to buy into a franchise or take over an existing business?

If you are looking at a franchise or business then you will be investing in a proven and successful endeavor. The cost will be higher initially than if you started from scratch but you will have immediate income. Your job at this point will be to know the difference between a real opportunity and a scam. Stay away from those endeavors that promise to make you rich now or promise you large money making capacity with out having to work. Any real business is going to require work on your part to establish and see a good profit. You will want to conduct an investigation on the company you are looking at. You will want to be sure this is a legitimate deal and they have others who have succeeded. You can get information on what to look for by typing investigating a business opportunity into your search engine and see what comes up.

You will also want to directly call the company. Do not rely on their ads ad a promise that you will make money. Find out from the source of exactly what you will need in materials and services that you will receive to keep your business running. Get a list of all the buyers in your state and neighboring states and phone them. You want to ask them if they were satisfied with what they got, have they made any money, and did the seller live up to their promises. Call many, many people not just a couple. Many companies have paid people to endorse their products even though they are not good. So you want to hear from as many individual as you can to see if this is a good deal. You will also want to look to the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau. This will let you know if there are any complaints of impending complaints on the company. There is nothing wrong with digging up some dirt. It is your money and you dont just want to toss it in the trash.

6 things to avoid when considering work at home schemes

6 things to avoid when considering work at home schemes
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

You want to be careful when you work from home to not end up being scammed. There are six tips to recognize any scam. One needs to run through this checklist every time they consider an endevor. These are things you will want to avoid.

1. Any deal you do not completely understand. The big print might make absolute sense or get your attention. It is the fine print that will be the determining factor though. If you actually read the fine print you might be losing more than gaining. The more important your deal the more important it is for you to read and understand the terms. Ask multiple questions and get legal help if need be.

2. Any deal requiring multitudes of money up front. Dont spend all at once. Make sure you will get what you pay for. You want to be sure that the golden egg in that basket is real before the scammer has your cash.

3. Any deal you are asked to do in a hurry or under the pressure of time. Time should not be important when making a business deal. Both parties will want to be sure they know exactly what they are getting into. If someone is trying to rush you in making up you mind it is because they dont want to give you time to realize it is a scam.

4. Any deals with people or companies you have never heard of or know. The best reference is that if you have no clue whom you are dealing with you shouldnt find out. Let people know that you will be checking out their business and background. This will keep them from being able to lie to you. Make sure you follow through and find out all you can.

5. Any deal that you are being manipulated or schmoozed into. If some one is trying to bully you, charm you to death, or anything else. Make sure to tell them you know what they are doing and walk away.

6. Any deal set up to look like a pyramid scheme. These scams are made to look like legitimate MLM and network marketing business but are illegal. The earlier people in the plan get paid with money taken from the new people. These companies have you spend thousands of dollars up front and claim you will be raking in the money in weeks.

The most important thing to remember is that if it is too good to be true than that is what it is, untrue. There is not a person on the planet that does not want to get rich quick. Some people do get rich quick, but not many. People who have more money than they know what to do with earned it over time with hard work. Or someone who worked for it willed it to them.

How to avoid work at home scams

How to avoid work at home scams
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

Looking for those legitimate home business opportunities that are out there? They are really there, not all of them are scams. Make sure you always check with the Better Business Bureau before signing into any at home job. It is always better to find out about a scam before you have bought into it. Real businesses will be interested in what you are going to do for them. They will want to know that they will be represented in a becoming fashion that will make them more money in the long run from your success. A real company that is looking for affiliates will not SPAM your e-mail with offers. These are the tools of the scam artists out there. They send bulk junk e-mails hoping someone will, and they do, will fall for it.

The real companies will post the needs on sites that are relative to what they do and sell. You will go to a specific site of a specific company and it will have an advertisement to work at home. They will also expect you to seek them out and will probably not even bother with you till you make the initial contact. You will able to find other sources in magazines and books
