Make Extra Money With Affiliate Programs and Link Exchange

Make Extra Money With Affiliate Programs and Link Exchange
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

One of the best methods for making money online is affiliate marketing; this is a great method of generating funds without have an entire caseload of work to get it done. Having an established site that is already making money is the best way of ensuring you will be in the thick of the cash flow as well. There is a good chance if you own a web site that interests another Webmaster they will ask you to do a link exchange. Telling whether or not you should link to their site or not may as easy as you think. You don’t want to link too just anyone. You want to make sure this is the type of business that you want linked to you and it brings in the type of customers that you are looking for.

This is a major key that is truly important. Make sure the answer is yes. If it is then you can move on down the list and actually consider this site. If this site has absolutely nothing to do with what you are promoting in anyway don’t bother. You are looking for a targeted market. If you link to a site that has absolutely nothing of interest to your visitors and the Webmaster’s visitors have none in yours it is moot to even bother. The point is to be able to generate a targeted market wanting what you have. There are several answers to this. Links that deliver relevant traffic are one example. There are also natural links that someone just posts your link because they like your site. This is great but should not be relied on solely. You want good links that are relevant as well. Target specific keywords on the search engines to see what the top ranking sites are and see if you can link with them.

The affiliate promotes a merchants site with a link on his or her web page. The merchant’s products and services are promoted through the link. When a customer clicks on a link and makes a purchase the merchant gives the affiliate a commission. This is because that visitor found the link from the affiliate. The merchant and the affiliate will agree prior to the link being posted what the actual commission will be for a particular sale. The affiliate needs to make sure that the product and services he or she is promoting have to do with each other. You want to have a targeted audience and be able to promote these products and services on the affiliate site. If an affiliate has several types of businesses to promote they need to have their own sites independent on each other. This will keep things organized and only get the visitors who will generate sales. Make sure that all the pages you have are themed and easy to find on the popular search engines. You want to make sure that you are attracting potential buyers who are specifically looking for what your merchant or merchants’ offer.

Google will launch PayPal rival GBuy tomorrow, June 28th 2006

It's been reported in the news that Google will introduce their very own online-payment service tomorrow or at least this week. Google will most likely call this service GBuy.

GBuy will no doubt challenge PayPal which is currently the largest online-payment service with over 100 million account holders.

It's also been said that businesses that accept GBuy and are advertise using AdWords will get extra information added to their AdWords ads such as "Accepts GBuy", "GBuy Approved" or similar that will definitely draw more attention to those ads.

Google will offer discounts on transaction fees - even 100% - to begin with to promote GBuy.

[Update: They're actually calling it Google Checkout]

The blog phenomenon

The blog phenomenon
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

It is great that the phrase blog floats around the net day in and day out, but what if you have no idea what a blog really is? Is this going to be helpful to your web site? No, not really. Here we will offer the skinny on the phrase blog, and you can decide for yourself if it may or may not be useful in your web pages. This way you will not be wasting your time on something you may not need, and the energy can be put to something you find more useful for yourself.

The term blog refers to weblog and it is in every fashion not a commercial or professional site. It is more of the personal nature, for comment or web site material. Generally the most recent information on a blog is kept at the top of the page, as blog's are dated log formats. Often they will have commentary of other sites or links directing you to them. Many times the site is dictated by group links and the log is updated frequently. The opinion is this is the very first weblog was back in 1993 it was the Mosaic. This was generally a compiling of links that where kind of disregarded. It took until 1998 for there to be a mere handful of these so called blog's in existence. The bloggers all knew each other and were swapping the links between each other.

By the year 1999 this term blog was starting to pick up pace, and as a result became a phenomenon. Once it became free to the public, it really took off and was a pastime that was enjoyed by many. Web logs were hand coded by developers on the web before the software became available. The use of html was the main coding for this program, and the web designers at the time were pretty much the only ones that knew it. Now that this new software is available to the general public, anyone is capable of making a blog. The moment blogger was released in 1999 it became a huge success with the public. Now people are not restricted on what kind of weblog they make, fast-forward to the year 2000 and people are making as many as 300-350 new blogs daily. There is actually a directory for all these blogs, and it contains as many as 5,500 entries. This is now a craze with over 750,000 blog users; this was not merely a passing trend obviously.

There are multiple tools these days for the people that are truly interested in blogging, this software can be found online and has become extremely popular. Check out the craze for yourself, and see what you think of it you may just enjoy it yourself.

E-mail marketing

E-mail marketing
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

Even some of the most crafty marketers you know the ones just about everyone hates the spammer, will admit Spam is almost dead. It has been greatly taken over by the use of e-mail marketing. It is said that Spam is on the decline, contrary to popular belief. The rate that it is falling is approximately 13% per year. Why? Because the marketer now sees that e-mail is the marketing choice for the pros. By the year 2010 they say that Spam will in fact be a thing of the past. It is also interesting to note that the market spending in this fashion will grow from $885 million, to $1.1 billion dollars in as little time as well.

It is said that the bulk of the e-mailing for businesses in the year 2010 will be of the transactional, acquisitioned, and retention methods. With the remainder of e-mail leveling out between customers gain and personal e-mails heading up the rest. It is clear to see why the Spam is diminishing at such a rapid rate; the e-mail filtering is getting stronger almost monthly. The amount of Spam that the everyday normal user will see Spam cut in half from 2005 to 2010. This will set the pace for the e-mail marketing to take over. With new technology in place, it is easy for someone to recognize the difference between Spam and an actual e-mail from a company that is doing a follow up for business purposes.

It is clear by consumer reports that individuals will stay clear from e-mail servers that do not offer top of the line Spam filters. This is not to say that there are not still a plethora of servers available to the open market. The reason for the big concern right now is the cost of incorrectly blocked e-mails. This rate is at approximately $107 million dollars right now; it is expected to fall to approximately $88 million by 2010. In turn this will make for a much easier time to reach out to the consumer, by way of e-mail marketing once the Spam is truly eradicated. It is the idea that there will be a very organized arena for e-mail marketing that has business owners in hoots and hollers. They truly know the potential for this wonderful and inexpensive medium.

The improvement of the practices in list management will be stronger, and the ISP will have a stranglehold on the Spam. With all this technology, and the will to make the marketplace a safer business realm, it is clear that e-mail marketing can easily be allowed into the fold as one of the most productive marketing and business tools for the future. For now we still have to deal with all this junk called Spam.

Accept alternative payment methods and increase sales

Accept alternative payment methods and increase sales
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

Every good business-person knows that one of the best ways to boost sales and traffic to their product is to allow for multiple payment options. By offering many different methods of payment, you allow the masses to all be equal in the purchase of the same goods. This eliminates the upper scale clients from having this product while keeping the less than fortunate from going without. There are many fashions of payment these days that can accommodate just about everyone.

Anyone who limits the acceptable payment methods to a mere few can easily be losing business and in turn losing money. As word of mouth on the net is a very fast river, that mentality of limited payment options can easily mar your success online. The bottom line is you must allow for convenient ways for your customers to pay for the product, or you will loose out on business. The method of paying by credit card is by far the biggest payment method going right now, with over 90% of all sales coming this way. It is clear and by far the most used method of payment, and a company would be ill advised to eliminate that fashion of payment from their options. It is not a difficult chore to set up your site to accept credit card payments; actually it is much easier than you think. There is a new contender in the payment option ring today; this payment method is the Pay Pal account.

This handy account has a completely revamped system that has eliminated all the quirks and bugs of its previous version, and is now very simple to use. This great tool is very safe for the transfer of funds to you, so there is minimal worry by the client. It also has a very good tracking system in place to protect you as well as the clients themselves. Again this is not the only contender in the ring, as the debit card seems to be gaining momentum. It is said that this will be the vehicle of fund transfer for the future; clearly it is here to stay. It would not be advisable for any business owner to exclude these payment methods off their list. Toll free number and order forms still find their way into this option list of payment, as they have been reliable in the past and easy to keep track of. This is what is known as an offline transaction.

When it comes down to it, the idea of business is not to merely get by it is to succeed. If you limit yourself you are they opening the door for the competition to succeed and in turn shut you down. After all, a sale is still and always will be a sale.

Advertising your home business with Google AdWords

Advertising your home business with Google AdWords
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.ArticleShowroom.com

The object to successful advertising is to find method of conveying your information, to as many people as possible, while keeping the cost on the advertising low to begin with. This is the easiest way to generate traffic, and retain your profits. Google AdWords is a great method of getting both of these objectives done and making your site successful. It is very important to try and maintain a low click through cost when trying to target the appropriate customers.

It is no secret that pay per click can really make you business swell with traffic and customers, by placing the highest bid on a keyword, or keywords you can get great page ranking when someone types your keyword into their browser for a search. If you have heard of Google AdWords you will know that it is not really a pay per click search engine in the classical sense, but a very powerful Google tool that can be used as an advertising template. It is said that the largest Internet based network for marketing is indeed Google. It is a global industry and is a very good way to get exposure on the Internet. If you are ever interested in the Google AdWords you can find it on just about every page that Google showcases, their ad can be found in a little rectangle by the organic search results that are free.

The basis premise of the Google AdWords realm is quite simple, the member makes their own advertisement, and then has to bid on a keyword, this key word will then trigger the next step of the process. The next step is where the appearance of the ad can be showcased, to the viewers online. A members site consists of approximately 25 words or characters, this will include spaces so be mindful, it will also allow for a description segment of up to 70 words or characters, again spaces included in the total so you must watch what you are using as description. The great thing about this feature is your site will be posted within just a few minutes of you submitting it to Google. It could even become one of the sites that are sponsored, where they will sit on the right hand column of the search engine pages.

Google’s AdWords runs a little differently than the standard pay per click programs, it is not entirely based on the bid you place on the keyword. It has other factors penciled into the equation, such as the click through rate x the cost per click. This in turn dictates what your page ranking will be in the end of the ratio. You will need a steady flow of traffic to your site prior to this method to be effective, so it is best to get a good game plan in motion.

Optimize your websites for Google

Optimize your websites for Google
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

These days a web business has many great tools in the fight to stay competitive in their field. One of these wonderful tools is the popular Google search engine; they clearly have what it takes to make your web business a success. It is clear that 90 million visitors each and every month can pay testament to this fact. Google.com is one of the largest search engines on the web today, they have tools employed to ensure this and they have tools to ensure you succeed as well.

What Google does is they take the first few lines on text and incorporate that into the search result when someone punches in your keyword, this is how you develop page rank and popularity. There are traffic monitors available to you when you use the Google service; this is great in knowing when you need to adjust your words to find more traffic. When dealing with Google, it is most important for you to make the first paragraph of your page the biggest impact statement. This is what is going to be seen on the search result by the viewer. You need to ensure that is what they see, impact! This will prompt them to investigate your site. The more views you have to your site, the higher the traffic volume, the more volume, the higher the page ranking and popularity.

A good rule of thumb is have at least 8% of the words you use be keywords with about 300 words being used as the impact paragraph, this is what is going to be seen first you have to make it count. There is what is known as spiders that constant view sites and record content to use as indexing however, you never know when they will by surfing your site. It is not always the case that they will index your entire site on one trip to it, so you need to ensure that you optimize your pages. They will always start from the top of the page; this is why it is best to have the most impact near the top of the site. The best method of ensuring that your entire site is crawled on by the spiders is to place your site on Google Sitemaps. Instant updating on the site indexing is one of the great perks that come with the Google Sitemaps.

The files saved are XML files; this is like having your very own direct link to Google, like a data cable.

Good Shopping Cart Scripts

Good Shopping Cart Scripts
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

You may be wondering what a shopping cart script is, could it be a script for a movie about shopping carts – not likely. Scripts track what a consumer chooses to buy from your online store. The scripts will track their choices all the way through to the checkout process. Often online consumers think that the shopping cart is a neat little icon that holds all their purchases until they are ready to checkout – just as they do in a real store but this is not the case. The shopping cart icon is used as the first part of the financial transaction. Then a gateway will send the information to the area where the customer will pay for the items that they have chosen. This process is completed through a secure connection.

The payment gateway will then send the requests, which have been processed thus far along with various other transfers throughout the financial networks as necessary. This includes the Internet merchant account that your bank has with the online store. When this is completed, the gateway will then send confirmation or denial to the shopping cart software. How do you know which shopping cart package is appropriate for your business? There are literally hundreds of packages to choose from, searching through them all can be time consuming as well as confusing, and then it may become more difficult to determine what is best for your online business.

Free or Premium Shopping Carts: Before you begin to look at what is available make sure you have a clear idea of what it is you want the shopping cart to accomplish. Look at your online business and the products you are offering. If you are beginning, you may not need all the fancy extras that come with a high-end shopping cart package. If that is where you are at in your business, you may want to consider a lower end package. However, remember, nothing is ever truly free is it? Always read the fine print and acknowledgments before you decide on anything.

Free e-Commerce Solutions: PayPal is a great e-commerce solution. The services that PayPal offer have become quite popular among the Internet businesses. PayPal integrates the necessary shopping cart functions with the payment gateways and includes the merchant account. This is very convenient. The only cost to you is a small percentage that is taken out of each transaction and you pay no monthly fees for this service.

Home Based MLM Business

Home Based MLM Business

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) is the term that was used several years ago for what we today call Network Marketing. Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) operates through the sales of a product that a consumer is interested in on a person-to-person basis and is not sold through a store or other form of dealership. An independent sales representative (they may have many different titles) will contact individuals and speak to them personally to see if they would be interested in their product or services. The way that Multi-Level Marketing representatives make commissions is through the selling of the product as well a residual that comes from the persons that they have recruited into the Multi-Level Marketing business and the products that they have sold.

The difference between Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) and direct sales is that direct sales representatives make money through the re-selling of the products that are available through the company. Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) representatives also make money through their sales but also as those they have enrolled into the program sell products, they will make a profit as well. The residual continues to go up the chain of those who are involved in the Multi-Level Marketing plan.

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) differs from Affiliate Marketing in that those involved in Affiliate Marketing focus on one transaction at a time making more money with each transaction they process. The reason for this is that the product that an Affiliate Marketing company offers is usually something that the client only needs one time such as electronic equipment or household appliances. The Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) offers a variety of products that can be sold repeatedly to the consumer.

The Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) representative makes their money through the customer coming back to purchase more of their products this is called residual income. This type of income is earned every month from the sales that are taking place in your Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) business. Now what makes this interesting is that you will receive a check for all the sales that take place whether-or-not you are doing the selling. You could be on a vacation and still receive a check for the residual of sales that takes place among those you have brought into the business. This is a huge draw to those looking for home-based business opportunities.

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) offers the average person an opportunity to make a substantial amount of money that will change their future while at the same time allowing them the freedom to enjoy a life that they have only dreamt about before. Remember to look at all home-based business opportunities carefully so that you will choose the one that is right for you and your personality as well as financial success.

Legitimate Home Business - Franchises

Legitimate Home Business - Franchises
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

There are several opportunities to start a home business and e-mails are sent to you multiple times during a day asking you to join their business – how do you know which are legitimate and which are not?

In considering a home-based business determine whether-or-not you work well under the direction of someone else who has already established their business and you are entering in as a franchise. Unless you are starting something completely new, you will have to follow the guidelines that have already been set in place. The best way to determine if a business venture if legitimate and right for you is to do some research and footwork. Start asking around about the business, if you know someone who has joined a particular home-based business that you are interested in talk to him or her about the positives and negatives. Do not go into the business venture with your eyes closed.

Look at the advantages and disadvantages of business opportunities that come with everything you need to start. This is a very personal decision based on what works best for your personality as much as it is a financial decision. If you choose to invest in a business or franchise that has an already established a workable concept, you are not starting from scratch trying to invent something new for consumers. This type of business venture will often bring in earnings at a faster rate than starting from scratch and you will often have support in the initial phases and throughout the lifetime of the business.

The potential disadvantages of joining a franchise is that out of ten corporations that offer to sell franchises and other business opportunities nine of them fail in the first five years of being in operation. So when you are looking into this type of business venture, take notice as to how long they have been in service. The other side of this is if you rule out all companies that have been in business for five years or more you could miss the opportunity of joining a business on the ground floor that has a great potential for profit.

After careful research and looking at the financial risks and benefits you have decided that a franchise is what you are interested in consider carefully the following questions:
* Is there a particular district you will have to work in?
* Do you like the product line?
* Does the business have an established business record?
* Is there a name brand that is associated with this opportunity
* Is training and support part of the business package or are you on your own once they receive your money?
Starting a home-based business is serious and you do not want to enter into a venture without thoroughly checking it out first.

Ensuring success in your home business

Ensuring success in your home business

http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

Ask yourself some important questions. You want to know your purpose for being a business owner other than money. That one is a given. You should want to create awareness about something that is important to you and you enjoy. Give something of your knowledge back to the public and make them love it as much as you do. This will create the sales you need to keep going. The more money you make the more time and resources you will have to put back into it. Always give the customers more than they ask for. You want them to return and buy again. The best way to ensure sales is to give the customer what they want.

Be apart of a community with the people you want to do business with. Join the groups they congregate in. You want to be able to be a friend that provides advice and helps out. Speak to your friends and gain their trust. This will ensure that they will listen to your recommendations and will trust your instincts on this topic. The point is to make sure the people that are buying from you are not just buyers but trusted friends. They will be who brings you the most business. Word of mouth is the most powerful tool you have and is the hardest to get. This will let others in your community know that you are real and a person. Other questions to ask your self are as follows.

* What percent of your overall marketing will be done online or through other means?
* How much time do you expect to spend and dedicate to marketing?
* What strategies are you willing to use to succeed?
* Will you invest in your own business and yourself?
* Will you have contests to get consumers?
* Are you willing to invest in e-books, books, or reports in your related field? Whether this costs money or time?
* Will you subscribe to newsletters that give you the latest on your business genera? Will you be willing to make your own newsletters for free to sends to your consumers that will keep them informed?
* Are you willing to invest in advertising?

If you are willing to do what it takes to be successful then set up a plan. Assign a date to get all the things you need in order. You need to be willing to do what it takes to be your own boss today. If you want to succeed at business you must invest and put time into your self. Give yourself the credit you are due. Your persistence and loyalty will pay off in success for sure in time.

Starting a Home Business as an Affiliate

Starting a Home Business as an Affiliate
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

Most traditional businesses can cost thousands to start. So if you want inexpensive and/or free then try using a Web based business. There are several free tools available to help you create a high content design with a specific focus that can be a great marketing asset. If you don’t want to have to invest in a product then affiliate selling may be the best option for you. Once you have your web site complete and have high volumes of traffic using your key words and SEOs then you are ready to find a merchant that will affiliate with you. The affiliate promotes a merchants site with a link on his or her own web page.

Once you have figured out if a program offer is relevant to what your site contains choose a web site with high ranks on keyword searches. The higher the ranking on a specific search engine the higher the traffic that will be generated. This will also mean that this is a popular program, which is what you are looking for. You have found that site that will help you build a good affiliate relationship. Now it is time to contact your affiliate manager. This person will work with you to establish an account with said company. It is their job to be helpful and affective as well as respond back to you quickly. The affiliate manager should also be willing to go that extra step to make sure you have long-term success.

The best method of selling your site to someone else is to speak to your customers and visitors, as they are your friends. They will feel comfortable and in turn promote and advocate your sites and business to others. The best way to generate cash flow is to sell other peoples product, within an affiliate program. It is a sole source of income for the seller if they are not using an affiliate program. The more products of other people you sell the more in turn you will make. The first successful website is always the most difficult. Once you have figured it out you will surely succeed.

Benefits of an Office Center for Your Home Business

Home-based businesses that become successful may end up having to leave the home eventually for expansion. This can be a very hard decision to make for the owner. The idea of now spending more money to expand can be scary. One does not have many of the money sucking problems as the business owners of yester years. The really long leases, huge security deposits, renovations, and equipment costs are not that bad anymore. There are many options today for the home business owner to get affordable and flexible space with out costing too much and having to sign a long-term agreement. When you go to a business center you will get that office with a desk but also can expect to have Internet and many other perks. So what are some of the benefits of a business office center?

* Convenient location in a high traffic areas
* Fully furnished offices and suites
* Individual Offices and/or Team Rooms
* Conference Rooms with services provided
* Business identity services or virtual offices
* Receptionist services
* Incredible phone and voice mail systems
* High speed Internet services
* Computer and networking support
* Copy, scanner, and fax systems
* LCD projectors
* Digital Camera
* Complementary coffee and water
* Convenient agreements that can range from 3 months to 5 years

There are top companies that specialize in these office centers all over the country. Corporations such as HQ Global Work Place, Corporate Suites, and SOS America offer these great services to those home business owners so they can broa stilden their horizons but not have to invest in more equipment or dismantle their home office space. This gives the owner the option of hiring others andl remaining at home if he or she so desires. There are even some companies that offer rental by the day or hour. Depending on what type of office space and the amenities you want you are looking at anywhere from a few hundred to few thousand per month. It truly depends on the location, services, and size office you need.

The majority of these companies also offer virtual space as well. This is a low cost method of being able to provide a more business like atmosphere to your home office. You would be able to meet clients in a space a few times per week instead of in your living room. This gives your business a more professional look with out spending lots of money on an office space. There are mail programs offered that provide you with an address so you can receive and deliver business packages and mail. These virtual spaces also provide private offices and conference rooms. This will allow you to work from home primarily but meet with clients and get your mail at a business address to keep your home information private. Programs like this start at about $70 per month, which is extremely reasonable. There are also the virtual office packages that give you the same perks as the mail program but also give you a phone number, voice mail, live receptionist during business hours plus call-screening, forwarding, and patching. This type of offer starts at about $190 per month and you get your business name listed in the lobby for free. Balancing home and work for home business

With so many young people trying to work from home on the Internet it is amazing just how many of them really do not have the slightest idea, of the workload they have gotten themselves into. Many of these people did not even sit down and assess what it is that they see as reasonable personal goal. This is a huge mistake on their part. You must know what you want in order to find a way to obtain it. It must be clear to everyone willing to jump into the Internet marketing world; if you are not sure whether or not you have drive and a willingness to succeed you might want to save yourself some money and much aggravation. It is easy to want something, and you may know how you have to get it. There is this little issue about dedication and determination do you have it? Why put yourself through the troubles of failing and wondering exactly where you went wrong.

The great Winston Churchill once said, “If you find yourself walking through hell, just keep going”. This idea of the struggles people face, in business and in life is just that. Struggles, the winners will survive and the weak will fall. This has been a true facet in life since the beginning of time. Basically staying power in the Internet marketing business is about keeping your face off the pavement.

They also do not get the fact that because it is their business, and not someone else’s responsibility that they in turn will have to work probably much harder to keep it going. When these people hear the nonsense about working 1 hour per week and striking it rich, I truly feel sorry for their heads and wallets when they inevitably re enter the earth’s atmosphere, and hit the ground with a screeching halt. Again this may be nothing more than naivety. And not total stupidity. The unfortunate part for most people new to the scene is that they have absolutely no idea just what it entails on a time basis. What must be remembered is that success cannot be bought in a can. It is the single marketing plan and strategy that is doomed to fail. You must be able to walk many avenues in order to reap the benefits of the successes it can yield. Buy into what you feel truly will get you ahead, listen to what other marketers are saying in the forums and try to catch on quick. This field is extremely fast and waits for no one. The best way to do business is to spread out your resources as much as possible; the best way for exposure is to be out in the middle of the field.

Getting Started With a Home Business

Getting Started With a Home Business
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

When starting your home business venture you will want to have another form of income. It can take a year or more to get a business up and running. It will take some serious work to go to your job each day and run your business at night but it will be worth it in the long run. You also have to look at the investment of money that you are willing to put into it. Not all home-based businesses are costly to start. First you will need to figure out what your strong suits are and fields of interest. Many of the more inexpensive businesses can be done online where it is just a matter of a small investment in hosting and domain. Other businesses that are offering services and/or products can cost you more to start with. You will have to find the right balance on what you can provide and what people need. Ask yourself the following questions when trying to get ideas.

* Who will your customers be?
* What will they get from what you have?
* Will they use what you offer multiple times or be repeat customers?
* Who are your competitors and what are they charging?
* What do you need to charge but still remain competitive?

You will need to know about your competition in detail. You will then be able to develop a niche market for yourself. You want to try not to get involved with an over-saturated market you would not be able to get much profit or business. You have to find a market that is popular, of interest to you, needed, and easy to do. A great moneymaker is to get affiliate sites up and running where all you have to do is write or have written high content articles. You can also build your business from scratch, buy into a franchise, or buy an Internet business out right that is already established. Starting from scratch will offer you the cheapest investment but take many months if not years to establish. Buying into a franchise or already established business will cost more in the beginning but will generate an immediate income.

Once you have finally decided what kind of business and how much it will cost to open the real work has just begun. It takes more than an idea to make money. You will have to be able to dedicate time and effort in promoting what you offer. This may mean long days or hiring others to do the work you don’t have time for. You will have to get a structure down so you can best accomplish your goals. Most people who start their own business no matter how small are looking to not work for someone else and are willing to go that extra mile to succeed. Are you?

Evaluating home business opportunities

When trying to start a home business, look into fields that interest you. You must enjoy what you are about to embark because you will be spending a lot of time in this field. Just because you love something doesn’t mean it will sell though. Make sure that what you pick is has a market. You want paying customers to come to your site and buy what you have to offer.

So where can you go to find out some great business opportunities? Well you can go into your browser and type in different subjects and see what other people are doing with them. You can also look on marketing sites for the hottest trends in business. Remember that these sites are also businesses and will offer you products as well as information. Make sure you know all the tools that available to you before purchasing the first book or start up kit you see.

Most people want to see money and not spend it. Lets face it you will have to do some investing if you really want to succeed. But you don’t have to spend thousands. Books can be a great tool and a very inexpensive way of learning how to run your own business. Not only will these books give you a step by step way to start your business they will give you ideas of what type of businesses you can have. You can get books real cheap on Amazon. You can even use your local library but it would be better to have the books constantly at your disposal. You might even want to consider such markets like eBay. You can sell products there very easily and everyone can readily find you. There are many people making an awesome living off of selling on eBay. Here are some quick tips for being a good eBay seller.

* Sell a product you know about. You will not be able to answer people’s questions if you have very limited knowledge about what you are trying to sell. This will also get you a bad name and no more bids. The more familiar with what you are selling and its potential uses the better off you are. You are the one trying to get people to buy, know your stuff.

* Use eBay as your purchasing guide for what you plan on selling. Look up what people are charging for similar items. Don’t pay more than 65% of what the eBay sales history tells you. You want to buy in bulk and wholesale and know what you are being charged for per item to see if any money will be made off of it.

* Ship your paid orders on the same day they buy. Buyers want fast shipping that doesn’t take three weeks to get there. Companies like Fed Ex offer online shipping and will give you an immediate 10% discount. They will also increase you discount the more volume you get.

There are also tons of little tricks to selling on eBay that make life good. Listing your product auction on a Thursday for 10 days will close out all bidders on a Sunday. Sundays are great days because people are home.

Childcare solutions for stay at home moms

The biggest obstacle for the stay at home business mom is the kids. That screaming toddler is not going to be quiet when you have business calls or take that nap to let you get your work done. This will be the same child who will eat all of your post-its and stick food into your CD drive. As you are ripping your hair out and getting more and more frustrated you will wonder what the point of working at home was if you were going to still need childcare. You were probably envisioning no more commutes, flexible hours, and lunch with the kids’ everyday. Your childcare options are flexible as well that is the beauty of being self-employed.

* Childcare Co-op: Find a group of work at home parents and swap off childcare duties. You can keep track of how many hours you watch each child and use the time you accrue when you need it most. The great thing about this is it is free. The downside is that you will have to give up work time to handle other people’s children.

* Trading or Mom-swapping: This is the smaller version of co-op. this will involve you and a good friend trading off childcare days. Make sure you set clear boundaries about when you will take the other child and when they will take yours. You don’t want to be taken advantage of. You will also want to make sure the kids like each other and get along well. If they don’t then this will end up being a bad experience.

* Sitter Sharing: Share a sitter with a friend. You can have the sitter watch both kids at the same time and split the cost or use the sitter on alternate days. Make sure that you have a written agreement on how the sitter is used and what you will be paying to avoid any unseen complications.

* Barter: Trade your products and services with a neighbor or friend in exchange for childcare. This will keep you from spending money and still pay the person doing the care for you.

To come up with inexpensive childcare solutions you must be a networking prowess. Spread the word that you are looking for childcare to everyone you knows. Think in terms of trading and business opportunities. You are looking for a partner in business deal. This will help you to get what you need. Some moms are lucky to have businesses that are kid friendly. They are the lucky for sure. Those ladies who have to make endless phone calls or have meetings may find that childcare of some sort is unavoidable. Try your best to get the right childcare for you and not spend an arm and a leg getting it.

Starting a Part Time Home Business

Starting a Part Time Home Business

There are so many fabulous reasons to start a part time home business. Maybe you are ready to venture out into the world of self-employment, but are worried about diving in too fast. Maybe the market you are venturing into is small or takes a while to actually generate an income. That is best part about a part time home business you can still work. This will give you the financial backing you will need to get the business up and running as well as have money for bills and other things. This will keep you from feeling too much anxiety about money issues. There are tons of great businesses that can generate a great source of income once up and fully running.

At first it may be hard to get your home based business during your off time. Once you spend the time organizing it and getting it off the ground it will take on a life of its own. There are going to be days when you are too tired to even think about the business. Soon enough it will creep into your life and make you some good money. Once a profit starts rolling in regularly you can then decide whether you want to go full time with your endeavor. You will be able to either drop down to part time or even quit your other work. You have the pure freedom of being your own boss. There are several pros and cons to becoming a part time business owner. Besides the fact that you still will have income coming in from your other line of work, you will also still be covered for health insurance. This will allow you to build your business slowly and do it right.

The cons are that doing a business only part time has some time constraints. There is less time for marketing, optimizing, and building a clientele. There will plenty of time that you will not be available to answer your customer’s questions or take their orders. This could cause frustration in your clients and they may feel they are not getting good customer service. It is very important to be able to respond quickly to your clients.

Also there can be the issue that you are not taken seriously because you are only part time. You will want to work out something to make sure that your clients know that you mean business and will not slack on anything that you offer. The hardest part of having your own part time business on top of a full time job is burning out. You need to be sure to take care of yourself. If you work yourself to the bone your personal life, family life, and health can suffer. Work on the business over time to be sure you are not spreading yourself too thin. A part time can truly work. As long as you have great time management skills and self-discipline you will be great.

OK, so you want to get into the business of online auctions. Maybe you want to sell, or maybe you are looking to buy. Either way, it doesn’t have to cost you a fortune. Actually, it doesn’t have to cost you anything. That’s right! There are many free auction sites online to choose from.

You’ve heard of eBay (unless of course you’ve been living under a rock for the past several years), but there are alternative free auction sites online to choose from. For example, AuctionFire.com charges no listing fees and allows sellers to link to their auction page straight from their website for free. They have tons of item categories to choose from, whether you are a seller or a buyer, and claim to be open to new category suggestions. Similar in its item categories is Bid-Alot.com where buying and selling is free, though the require sellers who sign up for free account to provide credit card information. They also offer a how-to-trade guide for their beginners. Baymore.com offers pictures of their home page featured items as well as message boards for both buyers and sellers.

Other free auction sites include BuySellTrades.com which offers free listings, classifieds and trading, secure shopping and bidding, free store setup, community forums for buyers and sellers and even a chat community. BidMonkey.com also offers communities and even ChatMonkey IM. Users have the opportunity to earn Monkey Bucks and purchase items without paying anything but shipping. Also, sellers have the chance to be featured on the main page—a guarantee that everyone who logs in will see your name!

Whether you want to buy or sell, there are free auction sites out there for you with extra bonuses such as free store setups and community forums and chats to help you along your way.

A great way to help boost your website’s profits is to consider using affiliate programs. There are so many affiliate programs online that finding one to suit you and your website’s topics, themes, and subjects is easy.

First you will want to do a search for affiliate programs. Two very good, informative websites to help you in finding profitable affiliate programs are AffiliateGuide.com and AssociatePrograms.com. Both give lists of appropriate and popular affiliate programs from which you can choose, and you can find out more about each affiliate program listed with just one click, rather than spending a lot of time using search engines.

AffiliateGuide.com has an extensive list alphabetized by category to help you in finding profitable affiliate programs. It posts a news section where you can find out the latest news regarding various profitable affiliate programs, an affiliate blog to keep you up-to-date on what’s going on with affiliate programs and further help you with finding profitable affiliate programs, advice for starting your own affiliate program and tips for those who are already affiliates.

Aside from providing lists of profitable affiliate programs, AssociatePrograms.com also offers a newsletter, a forum, a free 18 step tutorial on how to be successful with affiliate programs, and tips on pre-selling, using keywords and making the most of your AdSense revenue.

Finding profitable affiliate programs is just the first step in boosting your online income; take that step! Find an affiliate program that suits your website. It won’t be difficult; affiliates are looking for people to help them advertise and market their products. You’ll get paid a commission, and they’ll get advertising and increased sales. It’s a win/win situation.

Answers to Your E-Commerce Problems

Answers to Your E-Commerce Problems
Copyright © Hannes Johnson
http://www.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net

First of all, what is e-commerce? E-commerce is commerce, including business, trade, buying, and selling, that is transacted electronically, rather than hand-to-hand. Businesses need efficient technology and strong marketing in order for e-commerce to be successful. The goal is to increase your business by making it easier for customers to shop, and if your website’s lack of technology and marketing make it difficult for them, they may as well drive to the mall.

Before we look at e-commerce solutions, we need to first figure out some of the problems with e-commerce. There are many complaints from customers when it comes to purchasing items online. A few include a disorganized site that is difficult and confusing to navigate; lack of information on the website including failure to tell customers about special deals or prices; the inability to pay with the customer’s native currency or the inability for the customer to even understand the language in which the website is written; and frustrating and confusing shopping carts and check out procedures.

Well then, what are some e-commerce solutions? Having a professional looking website will attract customers and make them feel confident in buying from you. You want your website to be organized and easy to navigate, and if you have an informational website that is search engine friendly; shows promotional deals; encourages up selling in a friendly way (such as showing related items or showing items that customers purchased who also purchased the item you are purchasing); is accessible in the most languages and accepts different types of currency; has a user friendly shopping cart and single page checkout, then you won’t need many e-commerce solutions!

Remember, when your business is e-commerce, you want to take all possible steps to make sure you and your product are presented professionally, friendly, and easily accessible.
