Now you can advertise on The Home Biz Blog

You might have noticed it on other websites that have Google AdSense ads on them that there is now an "Advertise on this site" link. This means that you can buy ads that will show up on that particular website. All AdSense publishers are automatically subscribed to this feature so this should now be on almost all sites that display AdSense ads.
Well, now is your chance to buy an ad that will be displayed on The Home Biz Blog (on the front page, individual entry pages, category pages, etc.). All you have to do is click the "Advertise on this site" link [see screenshot to the left] and Google will take you through the steps. I also have several other websites in different niches where I display AdSense ads so if you're interested please leave a comment.

In other Google news, Mozilla Firefox and Google have teamed up to promote the Firefox web browser with the Google toolbar. I've used Firefox for a long time now and it's the browser I prefer to use. It's so much easier than Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) in many ways - like the inbuilt RSS reader, multi-tab browser which is perfect when searching on Google, etc. It's also safer than IE.
It's a little over a year ago since
Firefox 1.0 was launched and it's now reported that about 15% of internet users use Firefox. This is definitely something webmasters should consider - every time I design a web page I check to make sure it works both in Firefox and Internet Explorer (although it's not always easy).
The current version of Firefox is 1.0.7 but you can get "Firefox 1.5 Release Candidate 3" which is probably very similar (it might have a few minor bugs) to the complete 1.5 version that will be released later this year.
Update: Looks like Firefox 1.5 was released only a few hours after I posted this. So now you can enjoy a better, faster and more secure browser while surfing the web.
