I was one of the top 25 recruiters in an Empowerism contest!
For a couple of months Empowerism has been having a contest. They split the membership base into 4 teams according to the member's last name. The team that bought the most MVP (Marketing Value Plan) ad packages during the contest would get to be on the VIP List which gets a 48-hour advance announcement on a new mainstream product Empowerism is launching after the contest. But they also had a bonus contest where the top 25 recruiters during the contest would win $200 worth of X (which is the new product Empowerism is launching soon but they won't tell what it is) + a spot on the VIP List.
I was very happy when I heard that I had made it to the top 25. Janet publishes a monthly newsletter called "Power Up" and there she displayed the current stats. I had actually been in the top 10 the month before the contest but during the contest I wasn't doing as good as I had before so I wasn't sure I would make it... that's why it came as a pleasant surprise when I was told I was in the top 25. I was also glad that I had made the top 25 because based on the stats in the newsletter my team came in second :(
However, Empowerism has extended the contest until they've sold more MVP ads. So I won't get my prize just yet. But I've recruited a few new Empowerism members since their announcement so I'm confident that'll still be on the top 25 list when the contest finally ends.
Janet Wilson (the owner of Empowerism) also "hinted" that she will throw in a bunch of random cash prizes when the contest goal is met! Also, for a limited time they are giving away RSVP (Revenue Sharing Value Plan) packages with every MVP ad (RSVP provides you with leads + a recurring automatic income). It's pretty exciting being an Empowerism member right now and I'll let you know what the secret new product is when they announce it.

Actually, I was just checking and it looks like I'm also one of the top 100 sponsors in SFI (Strong Future International) for this quarter (#34 when this is written). I think that's pretty impressive giving that SFI has over 9 million affiliates (give or take - although, not everybody is active..).
